The Digital Society Summer Event is one of definative dates in the DS calender, and 2009 sees a quite spectacular lineup of artists landing in leeds for surch a premier occasion.

Headlinding the Summer Event this year is none other than German duo and trance legends Cosmic Gate appearing at DS for the first time, fresh from the recent succes of their lastest album "Sign of the times" on Black Hole Recordings. Hit singles "Body of Conflict" and "Not Enough Time" from the album itself, and recent remixes for the likes of Armin Van Buuren and Deadmau5 have seen Nic Chagall & DJ Bossi, continue very much at the forefront of todays Trance scene.

American Sean Tyas joins Cosmic Gate at the top of the event roster, and is DJ that needs no introduction to the DJ masses. Tyas remains to be the name of everyones lips in trance land, with the trademark driving melodies showcased wonderfully in his lastest production "Melbourn" on Discover Records. Many regulars at Digital Society consider Sean to have featured ay the best DS events in 2007 and 2008 – which is testament to the hype already surrounding the 12th june.

Discover Records boss John Askew also returns to DS leeds and is regarded as a true fan favourite. John can be considered as one of the most significant players in the UK trance scene and his reputation for having an eye for talent and quality sets Askew very much out from ther rest of the pack. Recent production succes with "Bored of you, Bored of me", "Vandalism" and the forthcoming "Fucking Caps Lock" cement John´s standing and is hugely respected amongst music lovers and peers alike.

Next up, and hailing from Germany are production & remix wizards Duderstadt. Whether its remixing for the likes of Ferry Corsten, Jon O´Bir or Mr Pit, or featuring at premier dance events such as Asot 400, Duderstadt guys is that 10 years ago they were responsible for the legendary "Fragma – Toca´s me".

Completing the main room lineup and complimenting the summer events guests to perfection, is the man Activa to deliver the next installment of his DS residency, with the legendary "live as" performance last November still fresh in the memory of all those who attended. Enhanced Recordings head honcho Will Holland one again gets the party started in fine progressive style and resident Kane Nelson performs fresh from success of the debut DS compilation "DS International Volume One" and forms part of the continued DS Album Tour.

Heading up the DS Invitation concept is this months Spotlight DJ Ben Gold . Ben has had many production successes in recent years and has become known for his superb remixing abilities right across the board. Invitation Host Harry Fowler is also joined by guests and the mattahardwick.com "I am DJ" competition winner.

In the wonderful Surroundings of leeds most intimate venue MyHouse, with the fantastic DS decor & production, the Funktion One sound system, the renowned garden terrace, the friendliest staff in Yorkshire, drink promos galore, and the brand new exciting House alternative M.Y.O. upstais in Room 3, the Digital Society Summer Event 2009 promises to be yet another spectacular edition.
